My Practice Areas

Mission-Driven & Impactful

Strategic Planning
Nonprofits rely on strategic plans to guide operations over a 3-to-5-year period. Starting with a one-day interactive training course, a comprehensive S.W.O.T. analysis identifies organizational opportunities and risks. Gathering input from key staff, board members, volunteers, and stakeholders establishes measurable outcomes. Progress is reviewed at six-month intervals to ensure the plan remains a living document that adapts to new goals or shifting timelines.
Government Relations
Securing funding from local, state, or federal contracts requires strong, stable relations with public officials. Advocacy services and public policy positions demand long-term relationship cultivation across political lines. By setting personal partisan leanings aside and focusing strictly on the mission, leadership stabilizes program operations, protects funding streams, and builds meaningful systemic influence.
Grant Writing
Successful grant writing requires skill, research, and targeted alignment with a donor's specific funding focus. In a competitive market, application narratives must be concise, accurate, and impactful within the very first page. Crafting compelling proposals that fit strict online character limits effectively communicates measurable outcomes and evaluation strategies.
Corporate Relations
Building relationships with corporate leaders provides nonprofits with valuable grant funding, consistent volunteers, and event sponsorships. Cultivating these connections also attracts qualified business leaders to board service. Shifting transactional pitches into collaborative, mutually beneficial partnerships maximizes corporate engagement through creative strategies.
Media Integration
Sharing a compelling mission with print, broadcast, radio, and digital platforms builds public understanding and strengthens brand visibility. Knowing how to effectively pitch stories to media outlets provides a strong competitive edge. Developing close relationships with reporters ensures consistent coverage and positions executive leadership as go-to industry experts.
Program Development
Launching new initiatives or redesigning existing services requires a strong operational narrative. Clear program descriptions define target audiences, outline interventions, and establish specific metrics. This robust design satisfies strict grant application requirements, markets the program effectively to donors, and increases funding success.
Staff Training
Drawing on extensive field experience and university-level instruction, customized workshops deliver professional development tailored to all organizational levels. Training topics include team functionality, board relations, crisis intervention, risk-taking, and leadership models. Specialized sessions also cover critical social issues like poverty, hunger, mental illness, and social justice.
Community Relations
Investing in local school districts, civic groups, and chambers of commerce builds vital neighborhood support. Strategic community outreach plans open clear avenues for recruiting new volunteers, attracting local board members, and cultivating fresh donor networks through regional partnerships.
Creating Legacies
A lasting legacy ensures an organization thrives and remains respected throughout CEO or executive leadership transitions. Establishing a clear historical timeline of accomplishments measures long-term cultural and human services impact. This structured approach preserves organizational history and ensures ongoing community relevance.
